Research and Analysis

IDS research and outreach services are devoted to the identification and analyses of economic, social, cultural, political, business, and institutional problems connected most particularly to poverty alleviation.

Poverty Reduction Strategies

Policy research and support for poverty reduction is at the core of many IDS corporate objectives. As an economic development company, IDS understands the issues of poverty and its implications on economic growth and vice versa. The company aims to achieve its poverty reduction objective through promotion of opportunities, facilitation of empowerment and enhancing security for poor people.

IDS services reflect the spectrum of support in all areas of poverty reduction from social sector to public sector reforms and governance and from agriculture and rural development to industrial development and trade. In all these areas IDS offers support to build Monitoring and Evaluation capacity at all levels.

IDS is capable of supporting all goals of the Poverty Reduction Strategy Program (PRSP). We offer complete capacity to successfully operationalize this strategy.

Our professionals have deep technical expertise, decades of international experience in drafting, evaluation and monitoring of Poverty Reduction Strategies. In Pakistan, IDS has assisted the Governments of the NWFP, Sindh and Balochistan in the drafting of the Provincial PRSP.
